Apple Vision Pro will be available for pre-order on June 13 for customers in China mainland, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore, and on June 28 for consumers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

California’s Cupertino, Apple today revealed that Apple Vision Pro will be available in more countries and areas. Pre-orders for Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and the Chinese mainland will open on Thursday, June 13, at 6 p.m. PT, and the device will be available on Friday, June 28. Vision Pro will be available for pre-order starting Friday, June 28 at 5 a.m. PT, and will be sent to customers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom on Friday, July 12.

Vision Pro creates compelling spatial experiences that change the way people work, communicate, interact, relive memories, enjoy entertainment, and much more by seamlessly fusing digital material with the real environment.

“The enthusiasm for Apple Vision Pro has been extraordinary, and we are thrilled to introduce the magic of spatial computing to more customers around the world,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

“Whether working and collaborating with an infinite canvas for apps, reliving priceless memories in three dimensions, watching TV shows and movies in a unique personal cinema, or enjoying brand-new spatial experiences that defy imagination—we can’t wait for more people to see the impossible become possible.”

Apple Vision Pro: A Revolutionary Spatial Computer

With its innovative operating system, visionOS, user-friendly spatial user interface, and magical input mechanism that allows for voice, hand, and eye navigation, Apple Vision Pro is driven by these three senses. In order to provide people with a wonderful experience across their beloved Apple devices, visionOS is based upon decades of technical and design innovation in iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. It integrates seamlessly with Apple’s ecosystem of hardware, software, and services.

Apps may be used by merely gazing at them and tapping with two fingers. In addition, they may ask Siri to launch and dismiss applications, play media, answer questions, and more. They can even talk to dictate text and write using the virtual keyboard. The infinite canvas gives users the best workspace possible for productivity, enjoyment, and collaboration by releasing programs from the confines of a physical display.

This allows apps to appear side by side at any size. Environments are beautiful, dynamic landscapes that help users concentrate, eliminate visual clutter, and enjoy immersive experiences. Examples of these landscapes include Yosemite, Haleakalā, Joshua Tree, and even the moon.

All Apple Vision Pro users will have access to even more features that improve their experience with spatial computing with visionOS 2, which will be made available as a free software update this fall. These features include a potent method for turning photos into 3D memories; simple hand gestures to quickly access the Home View and essential information; new features for Mac Virtual Display, Travel Mode, and Guest User; improvements to Mindfulness, Safari, and the Apple TV app; and much more.

A Robust Catalog of Apps, Games, and Experiences

There are already over 1.5 million iOS and iPadOS applications that are compatible with the App Store, over 2,000 apps made specifically for Apple Vision Pro, and many more Mac programs that use Mac Virtual Display to operate in perfect harmony with one another.1. When combined with applications created by Apple’s global developer community, Vision Pro’s special features make it an incredibly flexible tool for consumers.

An Enormous, Private, and Portable Workspace

Prominent business and productivity applications, such as Microsoft 365 apps, Box, Craft, Fantastical, MindNode, Slack, Things 3, Webex, and Zoom, facilitate teamwork and daily activities. Additionally, users may increase their productivity by linking Bluetooth devices like the Magic Keyboard, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse with visionOS 2 later this year, as well as utility applications like AirLauncher, GlanceBar, Splitscreen, Screens 5, and Widgetsmith.

An Unmatched Personal Cinema

The best streaming services, such as Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ with Hulu, Max, Peacock, Paramount+ with Showtime, Pluto TV, and Tubi, are accessible on Apple Vision Pro.2. More than 250 3D movies are accessible on the Apple TV app, including all Apple Originals from Apple TV+.

A few of these films are free for Apple TV+ members to watch.3. Users of Vision Pro may access more streaming and online video services via Safari or applications such as IMAX, Juno, Supercut, and Television. Multiple users may watch simultaneously with apps that enable spatial Persona and SharePlay, just as if they were in the same physical location.4

A Front-Row Seat and Personal Scoreboard for Sports

With applications from well-known sports leagues and companies, including as Red Bull TV, The Masters, The NBA, MLS, MLB, NHL, PGA TOUR, UFC, World Surf League, and The Masters, Apple Vision Pro customers can watch games and follow players like never before.

The advantages of having a physical scoreboard or second screen are made evident by features like multiview, real-time player and game information, live object mapping, and more. With applications from leading cable providers and sports broadcasters, fans can also watch live local, national, and international sports.

An Incredible Gaming Device

With Apple Arcade, users may discover over 250 entertaining games out of thousands of available titles. Along with spatial games on the App Store like the 2024 Apple Design Award-winning Blackbox, Loóna, and DapTap, there are also often released new spatial games and content upgrades on Apple Arcade, including recent releases like Alto’s Odyssey — The Lost City, Crossy Road Castle, and Where Cards Fall.

Well-known immersive games, such as Job Simulator, perform very well on Apple Vision Pro, enabling users to mimic a variety of occupations, such as a gourmet chef or a retail clerk, using only their hands and eyes. In addition, players may access games on iPads and iPhones, PCs and consoles via the use of programs like Steam Link, and a greater selection of games on Macs that work with Xbox Wireless and PlayStation DualSense controllers.

An Infinite Canvas for Creativity

In order to take use of the special powers of spatial computing—such as the capacity for users to sketch, draw, and paint with only their eyes and hands—new design programs like AirDraw and Da Vinci Eye have been developed. While Lowe’s Style Studio lets users create their ideal kitchen, the 2024 Apple Design Award-winning software djay enables musicians to create music on the spot.

Groundbreaking Storytelling Experiences

With the help of Apple Vision Pro, viewers can now experience Apple Immersive Video, a narrative style that puts them at the heart of the action with 3D 8K video and spatial audio. A growing selection of Apple Immersive movies and series can be found on the Apple TV app, while the App Store offers distinctive immersive and interactive experiences like GUCCI’s Who Is Sabato De Sarno? and Encounter Dinosaurs. A Story of Gucci, and the newly released What If..? Marvel Studios and ILM Immersive Present an Immersive Story.

Developers from all over the world are releasing new games and apps for Apple Vision Pro this month. These include apps from Singtel CAST, StarHub TV+, and mewatch in Singapore; apps from Yahoo! JAPAN, LIFULL HOME’S, U-NEXT, and Nikkei in Japan; and DingTalk, Douyin VR Live, Migu Video, Taobao, Tencent Video, and Weibo in China, all of which are available right now.

Groundbreaking Storytelling Experiences

Next month, other apps—such as MUBI and Soul Spire in the UK, Canal+, Foxar, OQEE, and SeLoger in France, BILD, OTTO, and ZDF in Germany, Classix and Sportsnet in Canada, and Domain in Australia—will be available on Vision Pro. Additionally, many of these nations and areas will have access to global productivity tools like Disney+, entertainment services, and applications from Microsoft 365 at launch.

Spatial computing is being adopted by businesses of all stripes; over half of the Fortune 100 have invested in Apple Vision Pro to create cutting-edge apps for their clients and teams, such as those that facilitate remote fieldwork, facilitate team collaboration on 3D designs, and provide specialized employee training. In addition, Vision Pro is opening up new doors for medical facilities and practitioners in fields including mental health, medical imaging, clinical teaching, and surgical planning.

Unrivaled Hardware Design and Innovation

Apple Vision Pro is intended to provide amazing computational power in a small, wearable package. Using micro-OLED technology, the ultra-high-resolution display system packs 23 million pixels into two postage stamp-sized panels, giving each eye access to more pixels than a 4K TV.

With the help of two independently amplified drivers, the sophisticated Spatial Audio system produces Personalized Spatial Audio that gives the impression that sounds are emanating from the user’s surroundings. In addition, Vision Pro has an advanced eye tracking technology for smooth, responsive input, and EyeSight keeps users aware of others around them.

Apple silicon powers Vision Pro in a special dual-chip configuration. The groundbreaking R1 processor handles information from 12 cameras, five sensors, and six microphones to guarantee that material appears as if it is directly in front of the user’s eyes. The M2 offers strong standalone performance.

Apple Vision Pro Embodies Apple’s Values

Apple Vision Pro is imbedded with Apple’s ideals, much like all other Apple products:

  • Powerful accessibility features are built into visionOS. VoiceOver, Zoom, Color Filters, Switch Control, Guided Access, and more have been reimagined for spatial computing. With Pointer Control and Dwell Control, users may pick their favorite input method and use one dominant eye to enable eye tracking. Later this year, visionOS will support systemwide Live Captions,5 and additional Made for iPhone hearing devices and cochlear hearing processors.
  • Education apps offer all-new ways to learn. New apps like Art Universe, Beautiful Things, Complete HeartX, JigSpace, LookUp Dictionary, Museas, Pocket Rocket, and Sky Guide are designed to help users gain new perspectives about art, history, science, space, and more with immersive scenes and volumetric objects.
  • Apple Vision Pro offers industry-leading privacy and security. Optic ID analyzes a user’s iris to unlock Apple Vision Pro, autofill passwords, and complete payments with Apple Pay. Where a user looks while navigating Vision Pro stays private, and eye tracking information is not shared with Apple, third-party apps, or websites.

Apple Vision Pro and the Environment

All of the magnets in the Apple Vision Pro are made entirely of recycled rare earth components, and the printed circuit boards have gold plating and 100% recycled tin solder. In addition to meeting Apple’s strict energy efficiency requirements, Vision Pro is devoid of beryllium, PVC, brominated flame retardants, and mercury.

With this all-fiber packaging, Apple is one step closer to its 2025 target of zero plastic in all packaging. As of right now, Apple’s worldwide corporate activities are carbon neutral. By 2030, the company intends to achieve carbon neutrality across the whole manufacturing supply chain and product life cycle.
